We’re excited to be attending WordCamp NYC this year! There are a TON of great looking sessions, and we’re totally excited about the t-shirt.

WordCamp is a place for us to learn more about our craft by others who also do what we do. There is everything from choosing the right hosting (Which Elixr clients have) to Search Engine Optimization (Which Elixr clients are great at.) It’s also a place to meet others in the field and develop relationships with other WordPress developers.

We’re moving and we’re happy about it!

In anticipation of our big open-for-business date of June 1st, Elixr has signed the lease on a new office space! We’re moving in and moving up! Having a dedicated space for Elixr is a big step forward and the beautiful part is that the office can still be managed from anywhere in the world. Here are some of the tools that we use to keep the Elixr engines moving at a non-stop pace:

Google Apps: One stop-shop for all of our email/contact/calendar needs. This isn’t your average gmail account. It’s a SUPER account with cloud collaboration, dead-on analytics, user permissions, and so much more. If you’re a small business and not using Google Apps, we definitely recommend giving it a good look.

Dropbox: We run 6 computers and a host of iPhones. How do we keep all of our client files in sync, backed-up, and accessible from anywhere? Yup. Dropbox. This little app delivers in a big way, keeping our files organized and super-safe from hardware meltdown.

Freshbooks: If you’ve ever done business with us, you’ve seen how beautiful our invoicing system is. Each client gets their own login where they can print, view, or pay invoices and they even get friendly reminders if they’re late on payment. It comes complete with profit and loss reports as well as a whole host of tools to show you how your business is doing. Hands-down awesome.

We’ll be sharing our new office with the folks from MarketShift, which we think is a pretty powerful combo. Creatively, we’re excited to share space with such a visionary outfit. I mean, who wouldn’t want conversations about social-issues marketing around the water cooler?

Problem:

An established non-profit dedicated to arts education needs to re-brand and re-launch for their 10th anniversary.

Solution:

Elixr steps in with an all new website, Google Apps integration for email, promotion, and project management, as well as a brand new fundraising and donor database using SalesForce.

Problem:

A new business looking to launch in a digital world. On Eagle’s Wings celebrates simchas by tutoring children with special needs for their Bar or Bat Mitzvahs.

Solution:

Elixr created the whole brand with a logo, website, and collateral materials. We integrated an automatic invoicing system, and some pretty succinct bells and whistles.

Problem:

Artist Lynne Horoschak is constantly moving. Between her work at Moore College of Art and Design creating the Masters in Art Education with an Emphasis in Special Populations, sitting on the ArtWell board, and creating her own artwork, she has her hands quite full. But how can you showcase ALL of it?

Solution:

Elixr built a system that allows her to showcase the various aspects of her professional life in an elegant and organized way. Everything from her student’s theses to her own portfolio is highlighted. She will be able to maintain the website herself using the WordPress platform

Problem:

AADP Certified Holistic Health Coach, Xandra O’Neill, needed a key marketing platform to launch her own shop, Womb To World Wellness. She requred some powerful email marketing, the ability to register clients for seminars, and a central location to showcase all of her skills.

Solution:

Elixr built a system that allows her to be a holistic marketing juggernaut. By letting the Elixr email marketing system go to work for her, she has built a strong list of followers that lead to conversions. Her website showcases her practice and allows for her personality to come through.

Problem:

Sink or Swim Philadelphia was left without a developer after their initial website build. As an active and thriving non-profit, they needed a developer who aligned with their vision, fit their non-profit budget, and could mold their website into a real soapbox for their cause.

Solution:

Elixr took over management of the site and integrated a new image slider, native donation forms, the ability for recurring donations, and an email marketing system. They now have the ability to feature those who are most in need of medical assistance and have the tech support to follow through with their mission.

Problem:

New York Based media house Particle Productions is in the business of High Quality storytelling by using museum quality video to build brands and identities. After years in the business they have found the need to showcase their work online, strut their stuff, and allow their work to be found.

Solution:

Elixr started with a WordPress install and built a portfolio site ready to generate business. By harnessing the power of video and a sleek portfolio layout, Particle Productions now has a place to send their existing clients for examples of their work, and build new relationships along the way.

Problem:

komfy and kozy needed a place online where they could frolic and play with all of their friends in Kittytown. All of the characters from honorable King Kitty to the horrid Monster Kitty started as a seed idea from cartoonist S.R. Sheldon. After years of building their world on paper, it was time to take them online.

Solution:

Elixr built a custom child theme for the infamous ComicPress that really showcases the kuddle kittens in all of their cute and adorable glory. From the ever changing Kittytown Cam, to the ever growing story, kuddlekittens.com is a work of love.
